More than Education

Bethel Christian Academy is more than just a school—it's a ministry.

We strive to partner with families in developing young people who are grounded in God's Word, strong in character, and prepared for life. While academic excellence is important, our mission extends far beyond the classroom. Every lesson, activity, and relationship is an opportunity to help students grow spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially.

At BCA, students are known, valued, and encouraged to discover the unique gifts God has given them. Through biblical teaching, meaningful discipleship, service opportunities, athletics, and daily interactions, we seek to cultivate a Christ-centered worldview that influences every area of life.

Our goal is not simply to educate students for today, but to equip them to faithfully serve Christ, impact their communities, and fulfill God's purpose for their lives for years to come.

Founded in July 1980 by Bro. Ron Miller and his wife, Mrs. Gretchen Miller, Bethel Fellowship Ministry was established with a clear and enduring vision: to evangelize the world, edify the body of Christ, and educate devoted disciples. Rooted in Scripture and guided by a deep commitment to spiritual transformation, the ministry continues to impact individuals, families, and communities both locally and beyond.

Central to this mission is a dedication to Christ-centered education. Through Bethel Christian Academy (BCA), founded in 1981, Bethel Fellowship provides children with a firm biblical and educational foundation.

Additionally, Bethel Fellowship has extended its outreach through WBFI Christian Radio, a ministry launched in 1987. This platform serves as a vital voice for Biblical truth, encouragement, and inspiration—sharing the Gospel and strengthening believers throughout the region.

Our History

What We Believe

While BCA is a non-denominational Christian school and is not affiliated with any mainstream religious organization, we do hold these foundational beliefs:

We believe in...

  1. The inspiration of the Bible, equally and in all parts and without error in its origin;

  2. One God, the eternally existing Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, who created man by a direct, immediate act;

  3. The pre-existence, incarnation, virgin birth, sinless life, miraculous works, vicarious death, bodily resurrection, ascension into Heaven, and second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ;

  4. The fall of man, the need of regeneration by the operation of the Holy Ghost on the basis of grace through faith alone, and the resurrection of both the just and the unjust–the just to eternal life, and the unjust to eternal damnation; and

  5. The spiritual relationship of all believers in Jesus Christ, living righteously unto good works, separated from the world, and witnessing of the saving grace of God by the ministry of the Holy Ghost.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • BCA is a non-denominational Christian school and is not affiliated with any mainstream religious organization.

  • Church attendance—at Bethel Fellowship or any local church, regardless of denomination—is strongly encouraged. We believe that involvement in a local church is essential to a family's spiritual health and growth. Our desire is to partner with parents by coming alongside their children, strengthening their faith, and supporting the biblical values that are cultivated at home and through the local church.

  • We believe the Bible is the foundation for all truth and moral guidance. Biblical principles are woven throughout every subject and every school day, helping students develop a Christ-centered worldview. Along with academic excellence, we emphasize that there are no substitutes for hard work, personal responsibility, integrity, and godly character.

  • We primarily use a combination of self-paced curriculum from ACE, instructor-led curriculum from Abeka, and online courses from Ignitia (Alpha Omega Publications).

  • We strive to offer the most affordable Christian education program in our area.  Feel free to contact us for specifics on tuition costs.

  • Students at Bethel Christian Academy do not wear uniforms, but we do have a dress code.

    Our goal is to avoid placing an extra financial burden on families while maintaining a God-honoring standard of dress. We encourage clothing that reflects modesty, respect, and a positive learning environment, allowing students to be comfortable while keeping the focus on what matters most—their education and their walk with Christ.

  • We employ a variety of security measures such as real-time video surveillance and access control to protect the well-being of our students.

  • In addition to regular quizzes and exams, students participate in standardized national achievement tests. High School students are also encouraged to take the ACT.

  • Yes, we send home a quarterly report card, with progress reports being sent home at the middle of each quarter.

  • Although we do not offer financial aid, monthly payment plans are available.

  • The current student/teacher ratio is approximately 6:1.
